We desire to glorify God in all that we do, and we endeavor to do this in both our corporate worship services and in private worship in our daily lives. We want to be a people who live to worship the Saviour!
On Sunday mornings, our corporate services are led by teams who use their gifts to help us worship God. Worship through singing and music plays a major part in our services, but isn’t all that we do. Here are some of the ways to be involved in the Worship & Creative Arts Ministries:
Worship Teams – there are opportunities to be involved as a vocalist or as an instrumentalist, on a rotating basis. And while our usual style involves a contemporary worship band, there’s even occasions where we involve strings, brass instruments … basically, if you can play it, we’ll find a way to use it!
Drama Ministry – if you’ve got a flair for the dramatic, we’ve got an opportunity for you to use your gift. Sunday morning sketches and major productions are the two main ways we utilize drama, but we’re working on some great new ideas for additional outreach opportunities. Mike Airey directs our drama ministry, and would love to connect with you soon!
Choir Ministry – on occasion, we’ll include a worship choir on a Sunday morning, and singers of all ages and abilities are always welcome! And in years past, we’ve had some great choirs in all age brackets – children, youth and adults. Perhaps you’ve had some choir directing experience, and would like to help get something started again in this area. Or maybe you just want to sing the next time the choir is together. Just be sure to let Pastor Kris know … it’s another great way to connect with people from GPAC!
Other Artistic Gifts – if we haven’t listed your particular artistic bent, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t room to involve you! From painting to chalk drawings, decorating to sculpting … if your ability can bring glory to God and help to lead His people in worship, Pastor Kris would be thrilled to talk with you about how.
DOWNPOUR – is an inter-denominational group of worshippers longing to see believers from across our city gather together for passionate worship and fellowship. For more info, go to www.downpourgp.com.
