When a church grows larger, it becomes more and more difficult for people to feel “connected” to others … especially new people coming into the church. So we’ve made it a major focus of our church to connect everyone into some sort of “small group” in order to keep us better connected to one another!
Small groups will usually have between 5 and 20 people in them, and most often will meet together weekly or every two weeks, to learn, care, pray and support one another in this journey of faith. Bible study groups, prayer groups, Alpha groups … all examples of small groups with a primary purpose of encouraging one another on in our spiritual growth.
But some small groups will be more task-oriented … like a drama team, or a group of coaches in a children’s class, or even a few volunteers who prepare meals at the local soup kitchen! Whatever type of group it might be, our desire is that EVERY person who is part of the GPAC family will be connected in some type of small group – are you?
If you would like to find out more about being involved in a small group, call/email the church office.
