VISION & MISSION

GPAC’s vision is to be a growing church that earnestly reaches the lost, unconditionally serves others and passionately follows God.

It is our mission to

  • REACH the lost, at home and around the world
  • SERVE others, in our church and our community, and
  • GROW daily in our relationship with Christ

The purpose statement of GPAC reads, “To glorify God by loving Him, loving our neighbor, and making mature disciples of Christ,” which comes from the words of Jesus in Matthew 22:34-40 and Matthew 28:18-20.

As people who share this purpose, we are committed to the following key values:

  • worship – declaring with our whole being, through the forms prescribed in Scripture, the incomparable worth of the one God who exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4, John 4:24)

  • the faith – personal possession of faith in Christ and the truths that define it, as contained in our Statement of Faith (Romans 5:1, Jude 1:3)

  • our hope – heaven, and the inheritance given to us there, by Christ (1 Peter 1:4, Colossians 3:1-4)

  • evangelism – proclaiming the gospel of Christ locally, regionally, nationally, and globally (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8)

  • Christlikeness – being like Christ in all of our thoughts, emotions, and actions (Romans 8:29, Ephesians 5:1, 1 Peter 1:14-16)

  • teaching the Bible – accurately interpreting and applying God’s Word so that hearers are called to believe and obey it (2 Timothy 2:15, Matthew 28:20)

  • prayer – reverently addressing God to praise and thank Him, seek His will and intervention, and confess our sin (Acts 2:42, Colossians 4:2, Matthew 6:9-13, 1 Timothy 2:1)

  • the family – our most important relationships and God’s primary environment for expressing love and making mature disciples of Christ (Genesis 2:18-25, Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Ephesians 5:22-6:2)

  • fellowship with the church – relationships of love, unity and mutual honor, care and accountability with God’s people (Acts 2:42-47, Ephesians 4:1-6, Philippians 2:1-4)

  • equipping – training people to effectively use their spiritual gifts, time and resources to serve God in their church and world (Ephesians 2:10, 4:11-13, 2 Timothy 3:17, 1 Peter 4:10)
